Hi, I’m Natalie Franke. I’m a dreamer, an artist & free-spirit. I’ve been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. I’m a wedding and lifestyle photographer who specializes in candid portraits and colorful imagery. I’m currently living between my hometown of Annapolis, MD and my part-time home in Philadelphia as I pursue a degree in Visual Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. My studies center on the psychology of seeing and the way that art can change lives. I’m young, inspired, and constantly seeing the world in new ways. I want my photography to reflect that and I want each of my clients to leave their session feeling more beautiful & confident than they did before.
The power of photography has never ceased to amaze me. The ability to fit a couple’s love story within a single frame, to shape the way we see one another – it’s quite a magical thing. I’m not the type of photographer to tilt your head to one side and ask you to smile for studio lights. I’ll meet you for cupcakes in Georgetown, wander through the streets of Annapolis, or run along side you at the beach in southern Maryland. I use the dynamic duo: natural light + colorful scenery in order to capture something unique and refreshing. By the end of a session, I can truly call my clients – friends. My photographic style is designed to be fun and comfortable. I aim to create images that are modern enough to grace the cover of a magazine, but timeless enough for you to cherish forever. It’s a delicate balance that stands at the center of my philosophy.
