This moment was overwhelming, incredibly emotional, and exhilarating. There were quite a few times over the past few years that I considered how much easier my life would have been if I left college and went right into photography full-time. A few of my peers have done that and succeeded, so I found myself playing with the idea whenever the exams were too difficult or my schedule, too exhausting.

But I made a commitment to myself. A commitment to graduate from Penn and walk onto Franklin Field as so many others have done before me. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. And yesterday, with a tear in my eye, I said goodbye to the incredible university that taught me about hard work, perseverance, and the power of the human spirit – and I said hello to a new chapter of possibilities.

See that girl walking across the blue carpet with her diploma? Yes… that’s me! I want to say a huge thank you to my sister who captured the majority of these photographs for me! She celebrated her 20th birthday yesterday and still attended all of the graduation festivities. And I owe so much to my family, friends, Chi Omega sisters, Bayside Bride teammates, and supporters who have helped to make this day a reality! I never could have done this without all of you! Thank you for believing in me!

The combination of golden light and joyous laughter made this session truly extraordinary. I have so many images of Kelly and Scott laughing, so many amazing photographs depicting their friendship and love. Narrowing down my favorites for a single blog post was practically impossible… I can’t wait to capture even more memories for these two at their wedding! It’s going to be an incredible event!

I’m so happy that Jessie and John decided on this location for their shoot, not only because it was beautiful, but because it had significance to them as a couple! They met while attending college together and began dating shortly after John graduated… The rest, as they say, is history!

I was absolutely blown away by the gorgeous details that Melissa made for her reception. Bottles wrapped in twine, painted picture frame table numbers, accents of burlap with lace, and favors placed on each guests’s seat. The stunning flowers were designed by Julie at Little House of Flowers and fit Melissa’s vision of Country Chic perfectly!

On a day that was forecast for rain, we had nothing but sunshine – which perfectly enough, fit Brooke’s bright and beaming personality! I’m absolutely in love with her senior portraits and I’m so excited to share them with all of you!

I had so much fun photographing this styled shoot and although it wasn’t a real bridal shower, Krista, Sara, all of the Bayside Bride interns and myself enjoyed a little sweet tea after our work was done! I’ve included two images at the end taken by my great friend, Krista A. Jones to show a little peek behind the scenes!

The beautiful invitations & stationary were designed by Krista A. Jones while the DIY projects, including the Flag Banner, Chalkboard Sign, Tabble Runner, and beautiful display was courtesy of Bayside Bride’s Event Designer – Sara Metzger! The sweets included a delicious Tulip Cake from Clay’s Bakery, Smith Island Cakes, Cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake, and sweet treats baked by the interns!

The weather was gorgeous, the light was superb, and we spent two hours walking around Centennial Park and the beautiful downtown area in Ellicott City! Enjoy this little glimpse into their senior session!

After dating for over five years, Aaron was ready to make the love of his life, Dana, his bride to be! And after finding one of the most beautiful diamond rings that I’ve ever seen – he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. There were tears, smiles, and a few moments of overwhelming emotion… The rest, as you will see, is history!
