Kristin & Patrick’s Naval Academy Wedding

June 2, 2011 | Posted in Weddings

From the moment Kristin walked in through the Naval Academy gate where Patrick was working, he knew he was going to marry her. And after turning down his dates quite a few times, it was finally Kristin who asked Patrick out for a run around the yard. From that first date on it became obvious to all of their friends and family that they were meant to be!

When I met Kristin and Patrick for their engagement session last summer, I knew that their wedding was going to be incredible! They are two of the sweetest people you could ever imagine meeting and having the opportunity to capture their wedding day, was a true honor! The ceremony was held at the stunning Naval Academy Chapel and the reception at the home of a family friend in Queenstown, Maryland! From the big moments to the little details, everything felt like a fairytale. It was beautiful, joyous, and truly one of a kind! I was so blessed to have Carly Fuller second shooting for me and the amazing team at Wedding Savvy coordinating the day’s events! I love being a Naval Academy wedding photographer!

Congratulations Kristin & Patrick! Enjoy your honeymoon & have a safe trip!

For every wedding that I photograph at the Naval Academy, I encourage my couples to get a pass to do pictures in the Superintendent’s Garden! It’s one of the hidden gems behind the Navy chapel & it’s truly spectacular for pictures!

The stunning reception was held at the private property of a friend overlooking the river! It was breathtaking!

I love how Kristin & Patrick set up a table at the reception where guests could snap an instant Fujifilm image of themselves.
They then took those images and compiled them into a beautiful guestbook of all the people who made it to the wedding!

I love Kristin’s expression when she sees the table with all of her guests photographs!

How fun are these groomsmen? I mean, seriously!

The details were gorgeous as well! The cake was made by Caroline Cakes – one of my personal favorites!

I owe a big thank you to Chester of M32 Productions for lighting Kristin & Patrick with his video lights! Gorgeous!

My Dad and Stepmom were married in Annapolis, and this really brings me back. This couple is gorgeous and you did an amazing job capturing them (which, I know, can be stressful with the Naval Academy’s crazy schedule!)
